Practically Perfect in Every Way

Seventh Grade Reflection

When I first got to school in august I expected it to be extremely hard. I thought that there would be tons of homework, and lots of new stuff. But soon that thought changed. It wasn’t so bad! Sure there was some decent amount of homework, and yeah there was some new stuff but overall it was all terrible. By October my school life was pretty good. But then I found out I had a B in science. I knew what I had to do to bring that to an A. I went in for lunch to really understand the lessons and finally I brought that B to a solid A.

In seventh grade I learned so much! I learned a LOT more vocabulary in English. We have these packets that would be due every Wednesday, and then on Thursday we would have a quiz on the new words. Usually there would be 4 at a time, and you would be tested on all the words at the end of the 4 packets. I also learned some new math skills. I learned about negative exponents and how to understand them. One other thing I learned is Spanish. I new a couple words at the beginning, but now I can say lots of words and sentences. I can even translate a whole paragraph!

As this year comes to an end, I can’t start to slack off. I have to keep my grades high. If I had to do this year over again, I would. I mean sure, it’s had its ups and downs, but over all this year hasn’t been completely awful. My advice for the incoming seventh graders is to not fall behind. For one thing it’s not fun to play catch up, and two you have yo do a lot to get back on track. So I suggest to stay on top of everything or life will be terrible.

Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl pretty much the greatest TV show in the universe! It is already over but I have it on DVD and I can’t stop watching it. It’s one of those show that just leaves wanting more. It always ends the episode on a cliffhanger so I just have to watch the next one.

My sister, Robyn and I used to always watch it together! It was what we called “sister bonding time.” We would try not to watch over 5 episodes a day because then I think we would be considered obsessed. After each episode we would write a little inference on what we thought would happen in the next episode.

Gossip Girl is about these six New York Upper east siders. It’s about all of them and there lives in high school. There names are Chuck (my favorite), Blair, Serena, Dan, Nate, and Jenny. Dan and Jenny are brother and sister and they are not as rich as all the others. One catch phrase in the show is, “We’re Humphrey’s!” This basically is saying that they aren’t as good as all the rest of the characters.

I like this show because it never gets boring. It always is exciting and interesting. I already finished all the six seasons and I really don’t know what to do with my life anymore. Maybe you can leave some of your favorite shows in the comments! I seriously suggest you go check out Gossip Girl it will most likely change your life.
XOXO,
Gossip Girl

A Noisy Day

Let’s have one day for girls and boyses

When you can make the grandest noises.

Screech, scream, holler, and yell—

Buzz a buzzer, clang a bell,

Sneeze—hiccup—whistle—shout,

Laugh until your lungs wear out,

Toot a whistle, kick, a can,

Bang a spoon against a pan,

Sing, yodel, bellow, hum,

Blow a horn, beat a drum,

Rattle a window, slam a door,

Scrape a rake across the floor,

Use a drill, drive a nail,

Turn the hose on the garbage pail,

Shout Yahoo—Hurrah—Hooray,

Turn up the music all the way,

Try and bounce your bowling ball,

Ride a skateboard up the wall,

Chomp your food with a smack and a slurp,

Chew—chomp—hiccup—burp.

One day a year do all of these,

The rest of the days—be quiet please.

~Shel Silverstein

I like this poem because it gets me into a good mood. I also like it because I’m a very noisy girl!

My Favorite Toy

It was Christmas of 2007, I was about six at the time, and there was a large beautifully wrapped present calling to me the whole morning. Finally later in the day my parents allowed me to see what it was. Sitting on our green couch, I was dying to see what was under the golden wrapping paper. Seconds after I screamed with joy to see it was a EasyBake Oven. I was ecstatic, and I immediately plugged it in.

The oven was white and turquoise with pink writing. It also came with cheetah print tong! As soon as it heated up my sister and I made bite size brownies. They were delicious! I would always bake when I got home from school because I loved it so much. It was so important to me because when I was little I wanted to be a pastry chef.

I still have my EasyBake Oven in tip top shape, and every once in awhile I’ll go turn it on to make some rockin brownies. I will never forget that Christmas that I got my beautiful EasyBake Oven. (See for yourself what it looked like below)

Austin Expository

People laughing, chilling on Lake Austin, surfing, having a good time. This is one of the many ways Austin, Texas is a great place to visit.

One reason is in Austin is always hot so you can go swimming. For example, Barton Springs, a great place to party with friends, hang in the fresh water spring, tan, etc. The water is a little chilly, but on a hot summer day it feels like heaven. Once your done swimming around you can walk down to Sno-beach, a magical place with the best snow-cones ever. Oh how I love my snow-cones. For people that love the heat Austin is the place to be.

Another reason is the food. Austin has the best Mexican food EVER! For example Chuy’s, a Mexican restaurant, is fabulous. They have hand made tortillas, fresh chips, creamy queso, and much more. They make the building very comfortable by greeting you at the and by having very helpful servers. I could literally eat the whole restaurant. If your craving some queso and ready for a snow-cone you better get over to Austin as fast as possible.

Austin has some of the best things on earth. Barton Springs and Tex-Mex food is just the beginning of it. You know what they say, ” Everything is better in Texas!” You should open your horizons sometimes, try something new, come to Austin! You never know how good it is until you try it.

Wisdom Comes From Memories

I was on the blue floor, shaking, sweating, but ready to go. My coach, Levi, told me come on I know you can do this! I swung my arms up and out, reached back, and fell. I told you I just can’t! I said as I got up from the ground. “Okay come on try one more time.” Levi said. One more I thought as I reached back and jumped, tucked, and stuck the landing.

I did it.

I finally got my standing back tuck, all by myself I might add. I was so excited I ran to Levi and gave him a giant hug. I said “thanks” he replied ” I knew you had it in you kid.”

Expository- How Texting is Dangerous

Remember that one time an unknown number texted you and you responded back to them. Well you never know what that person knows about you to this day. This is why texting can be a threat to your life.

For instance you could be texting a stranger and tell them personal info. You could think your texting your mom and telling her the events in your day, but eventually you find out its not your mom. Wouldn’t that be scary to know you just gave personal info to someone you don’t know. Therefore giving info to a stranger can cause serious damage.

Furthermore people can use your texts against you. You could be tick, tick, ticking all day about a fight in school and that person can use that info against you. Man it doesn’t feel too good when someone has proof to use your words against you. So don’t send personal info via text message or it will come and bite you in the butt.

In the end you should never do something you would regret in the future. Just remember texting can affect your life with anyone. Next time I almost send a regretful text, I should just text it on my Barbie phone.

Oh No!

It was a beautiful Saturday in Texas, until the unexpected happened.
My friends and I were playing on her little brothers mini motorcycle. It looked so fun, so easy. I was ready I had my helmet on and I was ready to go. They got off and it was finally my turn. I whipped my leg over the seat and my hand was pressed down on the oddly shaped break. I released the break and the tires rolled on the muddy grass. My head was spinning, I couldn’t budge the handle bars. I came closer and closer to a giant puddle. Frantically my hand searched for the break, pushing down on anything to make the bike stop. I couldn’t though. Milliseconds later I found my self falling-feeling the muffler rub against my knee. I was down. Somebody pinch me I was thinking to myself, it’s just a bad dream. But no it was all real. My friends bolted over to me while I scrambled to get the bike off of me. I looked down to see the damage.
My knee.
I sat there for a second in shock. I had just been burned, and it wasn’t going away so easy.

My Puppy

I had a black morkie poo, her name was Ellie. She was everything you could ever ask for in a pet. She was sweet, she was playful, she was cuddly, she was like my child, but one day-new years eve 2009-Ellie got very sick. My family and I had to rush her to the hospital. When we got there she was immediately put on an IV. She was wrapped in billions of blankets because she was as cold as ice. As my parents filled out paperwork my sister and I stayed in the waiting room where I cried my eyes out. I was so scared that Ellie was gonna die. She stayed for several days, and everyday me and my dad would go see her. It broke my heart to see my little baby laying there not eating or drinking or doing ANYTHING. Over about 2-3 weeks she fully recovered and got to come home.
